alive and kicking: original soundtrack.

I’ve been secretly working on a soundtrack for the past six months – around the time I completed my last album, Scatterbrain. The soundtrack is for a soon to be released modification of Portal titled, “Alive and Kicking,” which tries to recapture Portal 1’s storyline in the Portal 2 engine and environment. My task was to create a soundtrack that fits the Portal 2 theme, and I felt I’ve accomplished that with deviations strewn throughout each song.

This is not a standard album of mine. You will not hear explosions of madness every song. All 14 pieces range from very, very ambient pieces to destructive electronic rock pieces, but all in all it’s a calm collective of broken machines achieving the most natural sounds it can achieve. And that last part was a personal goal of mine – that is, broken machines trying to sound natural.
