null.
released december 01, 2009.Null is the first true album that I completed and released back in 2009. The album consists of ten tracks and was made without a clear goal. It turned out very nicely, I believe.
This album is actually a concept album partially by accident but was made possible after most of the tracks were finished and were put in order before the album was released. For a couple months, I found that the songs could be put in order to tell a story, which in this case would begin with depression and isolation, and end with happiness.
I kept all progress alive on this website as well as various sites such as thesixtyone, and people were liking what they were hearing, so I ended up finishing it, and I feel that this will remain one of the most meaningful albums I’ve written, even without words.
This album is indescribable without being extremely vague or specific. I consider it Electronic as a whole, but each track delves into different forms of electronic on top of borrowing ideas from Rock, Industrial, Jazz, Blues, Big Band, Orchestral, and other genres. If I were you and I was pondering about whether I should pay the five bucks, I would first stream the tracks and then download the free EP to see if you’d enjoy it. Remember to listen to a lot of the tracks, because each track goes different places.
